While I was breaking the rules for one book i also pre-ordered big fat duck too. I received this for Christmas from D- holy hannah. Kokonas puts it even more bluntly. His wife had never photographed a book, food or otherwise. I for one will be ordering a copy of this as soon as this comment is posted. It lainea definately what you want to read if you do not want to get into the details of the techniques but learn a little about the business model, the design of the restaurant, etc. Plus I made the choice to order from the website so I cooibook get a signed copy and feel good about where all of the money was going. No matter what happens, I always learn from these things. Alinea does require you to be proficient in modern ingredients and techniques.

Which means, take an exact amount of juniper berries, qlinea them with a paring knife, and set those skins aside. Some are definitely do-able in the home kitchen, and others are obviously not. NYCook Congragulation to Chef Achatz, he has gone through a hell of a lot the last couple of years, congragulations to him on what I am sure will be an amazing book.
