It sounds simple enough, but there are a lot of dangers that stand in your way. You can eat other fish, but bigger fish can also eat you. You'll have to carefully dodge them until you've grown enough to turn the tables. You'll also need to watch out for barracudas, sharks, and killer whales that randomly swim through the level, because they can eat you no matter how large you grow.
On top of all that, you'll need to avoid exploding mines and paralyzing jellyfish. Along the way, you'll come across various powerups that might increase your speed or freeze enemies to help you out. There are 40 levels to play throughout the game. As you progress, the type of fish you control changes and becomes larger. Near the end of the game, you control a Killer Whale. Unfortunately, there is little change from level to level or fish to fish. While the background art may be different, or there might be more fish in one level than another, each level is essentially the same.
Similarly, even though you control a variety of fish, they really differ only in looks. This can be repetitive and becoming boring after a while. Feeding Frenzy offers two modes of play. Normal Mode is the easier of the two, and takes you through the game's levels as long as you have lives left. You start with a set number of lives, but can earn many more as you play. Once you've run out of lives, the game ends. However, you do have the option in Normal Mode to begin the game on any level you've played before, which makes it fairly easy for anyone to complete the game.
In Time Attack Mode, you play through the levels as in Normal Mode, but you have a timer for each level instead of lives. You must beat the level before the timer runs out or the game ends and unlike Normal Mode, you must start over at level one. While these modes aren't exactly the same, there is little difference between them. To get plus points easily, my friend should be able to eat the tail of the shark predators, but the risk is later chased fish buddies will continue to be pursued by the shark lo, alert addition with bigger fish, too vigilant with poisonous jellyfish.
If you eat it, you will be dizzy and fish can not be controlled resulting in an easy prey to other fish. Tips for looking for extra point of the game feeding frenzy 2 for pc is that my friend had to take some valuable items contained in the oceans, such as pearls, stars, gold, gems, diamonds, and other. Though the gameplay is a bit basic, the gradually increasing intensity of each new level is sure to keep players on their toes. Players lead their fish across progressively difficult levels, swallowing smaller fish in order to reach a larger size that can consume any opposing marine life in their path.
Feeding Frenzy is a single-player game with an arcade feel, written by Sprout Games and released in February After its PC debut, the game was re-released with a version compatible with both Xbox and the Xbox You control a different fish in each progressing level and attempt to consume smaller fish, stars dropped by mermaids, and pearls cultivated by clams at the bottom of the seabed. The 2D nature of the game combined with basic controls makes it an easy game to pick up and play without much prior knowledge.
Even as a game from , the vibrant colors and crisp sound effects add a unique charm to a seemingly-dated video game. Many players agree that the cartoon aesthetic, chomping sounds and upbeat soundtrack are fitting for loyal fans of the hit Pixar production Finding Nemo.
The difficulty of later levels serves to challenge persistent gamers, and the addition of unlockable achievements as well as online leaderboards adds an extra layer of competition. I had fun with Feeding Frenzy for a short while, though the basic 2D graphics and relatively bare gameplay lost its luster after a few hours.
The game does offer a staggering 40 levels split between five different marine animals, providing players with a bit of depth for longer gameplay should they find sustained entertainment. Additionally, the hazardous inclusion of depth charges, larger predators, naval mines, and even threatening jellyfish add an exciting sense of danger to the gameplay experience. All-in-all, the briefly-engaging nature of Feeding Frenzy renders it an amusing title, though only for a limited period of time.
